A few months ago I went to see The Tree of Life with Jill. As I said then, the movie is as weird as it is interesting (I liked it and recommend it to everybody). One of the scenes had this music on the background:
All the images are from the movie (although not in chronological order). The music is Lacrimosa by Zbigniew Preisner. I hope you enjoy and like it as much as I do.
"[...] This then, my lords and gentlemen, is the message which we send forth today to all states and nations, bound or free, to all the men in all the lands who care for freedom's cause. To our Allies and well-wishers in Europe, to our American friends and helpers drawing ever closer in their might across the ocean, this is the message-lift up your hearts, all will come right. Out of depths of sorrow and sacrifice will be born again the glory of mankind."
Winston Churchill, Speech to the Allied Delegates (1941)
Jill and I went to Dallas this weekend to visit some friends and also to do some tourism in "The Bid D."
First we went to a soccer game between Barcelona and Club America. FC Barcelona won easily (the second half it was basically the Barcelona B) and it was not a especially interesting game (we couldn't expect much from a friendly game anyway, at least we got to see some of the main players from a close point).
In fact, I developed that plug-in a few weeks ago, and when I wrote that post I already was working on a different plug-in. This new one is also different to all the previous ones that I've done, especially because it does not involve pictures or videos. The name: TextEdit, I think explains a lot already.
Jill and I went to the Katy Perry's concert in Austin last Saturday. We had the tickets since a few months ago and we finally went with some good friends of Jill that I hadn't met yet (funny thing taking into account that one of them is supposed to be one of her best friends.)
Robyn was in charge of starting the concert (and Jill's friends were even more interested in this concert than in Katy Perry's), and she had a pretty nice show. She sang and dance freely on stage, and sadly not many people seemed to appreciate this concert.
I don't find any blog post about Last.FM... I guess forgot to actually post it... it's going to be true, and I'm getting old and forgetful...
If you listen to music online, you may know and probably you will have already used Last FM. LastFM is a free online radio (although they define themselves as a music recommendation service), something similar to other online services such as Pandora.com or Rockola.fm.
My name is Alvaro Montoro and I professionally work as a Web programmer (although I must say that I am not an expert in design).
I currently live in Austin (Texas) and work for a company that develops Web sites for different Universities in the United States and England.
